PCTF conducts FGD

| The Provincial Communication Task Force of Northern Samar in coordination with the College of Arts and Communication Faculty of the University of Eastern Philippines conducted focus group discussions in the two disparity barangays of Brgy. San Agustin (Lavezares) and Brgy. Baybay, (Gamay) in Northern Samar on September 23 and 26, respectively.
The activity was participated in by municipal and barangay officials, day care workers, teachers, barangay health workers, parents, women and children.
Two of the most common problems in Brgy. San Agustin are the lack of potable water and access to sanitary toilets, while Brgy. Baybay sees malnutrition and health problem as their major issues.
The next steps are the formulation of their barangay development plans and passage of legislations either by the municipal or barangay council regarding children’s issues.
