United States Agency for International Development's (USAID)

The United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) Mission to the Republic of the Philippines seeks to help the Philippines in becoming a model Newly-Industrialized (NIC) democracy. As allies in democracy, the agency shares the Philippines commitment to human rights and democratic principles, mutual economic interest in an open global trading system, and a common concern for global issues of environmental degradation, population and economic growth.
