MC-IHDC Work Plan
The activity will serve as an opportunity for the MC-IHDC to review the general/specific issues raised during the follow-up workshop on the 5th ASPAC and other related issues concerning monitoring and implementation of international commitments. Policy issues arising form the Committees discussion may be elevated to the SDC Technical Board/Cabinet Cluster C for further discussion and resolution, i.e., definition of child, youth, inclusion of child workers in the coverage of social protection.
Based on issues and recommendations made during the National Follow-up Workshop, a policy/research agenda will be prepared. Other projects that will aid concerned policy makers and program implementors to specify the proper development interventions will also be identified. A plan for sourcing out funds will be discussed.
This activity will serve as a venue for the subcommittees in updating accomplishment vis-à-vis its respective international commitments, and discuss issues concerning coordination, implementation and monitoring. Each subcommittee will provide the MC-IHDC updates during the latter quarterly meetings.
This activity will provide inputs in the preparation of a country report that will be presented during the said Summit. As a starting point, the Secretariat has drafted the proposed Terms of Reference (TOR) for the issues and challenges portion of the report.
Regular Multisectoral Committee Meetings - Quarterly
Quarterly meetings of the MC-IHDC will be held while the Subcommittees (for conference related maters) may be convened in between MC-IHDC meetings).
Preparation of an MC-IHDC Report - November December
This activity will come up with a consolidated annual report n the accomplishment of each subcommittees highlighting progress, issues and continuing challenges from which future policy/research and other projects may be identified.
