The
Center is a division under the Development Information Staff
(DIS). It plays an important role in the DIS' effort to
foster sharing of development information with all stakeholders
of national socioeconomic development.
Information
resources at the NKC range from past to current macro socioeconomic
indicators; socioeconomic plans and reports; literature
on the economy, sustainable development, development management,
national and regional planning, gender and children development;
and researches on various aspects of economic development,
among others.
The
NKC is also one of the depository libraries of the publications
office of the World Bank in the Philippines. It has also
entered into an agreement with the Ayala Foundation, Inc.,
through the Filipinas Heritage Library, for its Library
Link Project, an electronic union catalogue of Filipiniana
libraries.
The
Center is located at the ground floor of the NEDA Building
at the Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
