National Economic and Development Authority’s Social Development
Staff (NEDA-SDS) assistant director Cleofe S. Pastrana (inset) welcomes
participants to the NEDA and Asian Development Bank (ADB)-sponsored Harmonized
Gender and Development (GAD) Guidelines on Project Development, Implementation,
Monitoring and Evaluation held recently at the Astoria Plaza, Pasig City.
The training aims to produce intelligent and committed users that will
implement the GAD guidelines in their respective agencies and produce
a pool of trainors from different agencies that will institutionalize
the GAD guidelines in the local and national level. A component of an
ADB-sponsored technical assistance program on Improving Project Quality
at Entry (Gender), the training supports NEDA’s drive to mainstream
GAD guidelines by classify proposed projects according to their gender
responsiveness using a set of harmonized GAD guidelines.
