National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Assistant Director-General Rolando G. The Korean delegation was led by Director Byung-Seo Yoo of the Ministry of Finance and Economy (lower photo, second from right). Regular policy dialogues and Korea’s active involvement with international donor communities as well as co-financing partnerships with multi and bilateral agencies were among the strategies discussed. The EDCF will also support the Philippines in capacity building efforts by sharing knowledge and experiences of Korea. To improve the effectiveness of Korea’s assistance, emphasis on results-based management and monitoring with systematic evaluation using log-frames throughout project implementation will be undertaken. Moreover, intergovernmental efforts will be pursued to increase transparency, avoid delays and other arising issues.
