ULAP-LPP NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENDA CONFERENCE

19 January 2005

The Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) and the League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) synergize energies to advocate the 2004-2010 Medium-Term Philippine Development Plan (MTPDP) and its corresponding Regional Development Plans. In an ULAP-LPP National Development Agenda Conference held recently, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Director General Romulo L. Neri stressed the vital role local government officials play in moving the country forward. The conference was held after a series of MOA signings between the LPP, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) and NEDA, all in support of the Plan, which fleshes out the Macapagal-Arroyo Administration's 10-point development agenda.
