Socioeconomic Planning Secretary and National Economic and Development Authority Director General Romulo L. Neri (third from left) answers a question clarifying the government’s programs and projects that will help boost the country’s economy in 2005 during the open forum of the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) Economic Briefing held recently in Dusit Hotel, Makati City. According to Neri, growth drivers for 2005 will be agriculture and industry, which will be supported by the strong growth in construction sector, exports of services from business processing outsourcing activities, and the favorable Supreme Court decision on mining.
