National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Assistant Director-General Margarita R. Songco (left) addresses participants to the Multisectoral Consultative Workshop on the 2nd Philippine Progress Report on the Millenniun Development Goals (MDGs), held recently at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Makati City. According to ADG Songco, the MDGs targets can only be met if they are dealt with an urgency of the present—with the urgency of alleviating the poverty in the country. She expressed hope that the workshop would be another step in making the MDGs a tangible reality for all Filipinos.
