RENEWING VOWS TO REDUCE POVERTY

Socioeconomic Planning Secretary and NEDA Director General Romulo L. Neri (left, seated) and Australian Ambassador Ruth Pearce (right, seated) sign the A$28.3-million subsidiary arrangement for Philippines-Australia Community Assistance Program (PACAP) that will take place for five years. The government of Australia recently pledged to continue its support to the Medium-Term Philippine Development Plan (MTPDP), 2005-2010, which aims to reduce poverty by half by 2010.
